Best Guide in Senegal!

I am a food writer and culinary historian from the U.S. my name is Michael W. Twitty. Pape led us on the tour of a lifetime in Senegal and Gambia. A lot of us were chefs and his knowledge and skillset got us from place to place with ease and his knowledge and erudition was powerful. He is a master of his craft. He made us feel at home and made sure we were as comfortable as possible and felt safe. Anybody who goes to Dakar. Goree, Saly, etc. Would be wise to go with Visit Senegal and Pape Ndiaye!

I booked two tours with Pape. The car was cool and comfortable, the driver very skilled and safe, and Pape very knowledgeable, kind, and patient! We went to Bandia Reserve Safari park and never had to worry about anything, Pape took care of everything! We learned a lot, admired the animals, had lunch and shopped. The second tour was a full day of petting and observing lions (safely through a cage covered vehicle!), lunch at a beautiful resort followed by a quad ride through the dunes and along the beach after which we went floating in the pink salt lake! Again, everything was taken care of by Pape, all we did was thoroughly enjoy ourselves and make wonderful memories! I wish we met him sooner so we could have visited more places with someone who is so full of knowledge! Highly recommend!

Have great experience with Pape Tata Ndiaye, an amazing guide. We move from Dakar for Tambacouta to visit Fathala, the beautiful river of Sine Saloum, etc.
Every step of the roadtrip with history has been shared with us.
About avalabilty? I just can't relate. On point! 👌🏾

Great trip to fathala

We went to fathala with Pape, a great guy, a great guide, that went through the story of senegal related to every region over the trip. the trip was wonderful, an incredible exprerience walking with the lion and visiting the islands around. it's definitely something to do again.

We did the tour in February 2019, and Pape was our guide. Pape is very friendly, considerate, flexible, and knowledgeable. In addition to Dakar and Goree Island, we had Pape take us to Saint-Louis and Touba. I think he knows every inch of their land. We really had a great time. Thank you, Pape!

Man, what a day out with Pape! The guy is a hoot! He was on time, knew practically everyone around him and is so knowledgeable about African history. Very approachable and amicable. This guy is the best!

The day started with Pape and driver picking me up at the hotel on time and going to the port. Our ferry to Goree Island awaited us. I travelled in style, in the captain's cabin on a fully loaded ferry. Arriving at the island, Pape knew that all the crowd would be to the museum and cathedral. So he took me around the other side, and we went to the popular places when the crowd was away. After a traditional delicious lunch at a local restaurant, we took the ferry back in late afternoon for a trip around Dakar. Pape showed me around, took me to the markets and sights around the city. African renaissance monument was the highlight - watch out for the 220 steps to the top! The day finally finished around 9HRs after pickup.

Pape is the best. You have to book this tour with him. He even sent my postcard out to me when the post office was off during weekend of my trip; that is how much of an extra mile he goes to make your day. If you are in Dakar, reach out to this company and ask for Pape - you will be so glad that you did. Go on, try it!

Pape is Amazing!

When I was planning my trip to Senegal, I realized that getting around to the places I wanted to visit would require the services of a guide, but I'm a very independent person and wasn't sure I would enjoy having a guide at all. I couldn't have been more wrong! My three days with Pape were amazing! He is interesting, knowledgeable, and really fun to be around. He took me to places I never would have found on my own -- and places I didn't think I would be interested in, but really was! I had so much fun - we laughed a lot - and I learned so much! We went from Dakar, to Saint- Louis, to Lompoul, and back to Dakar, visiting villages and markets along the way. I loved every minute of it! Best of all, Pape did not make me feel like a tourist and client - I felt very comfortable with him, as if I were traveling with a friend. Actually, I feel as though I do now have a friend in Senegal! If you can book a trip with him, grab it! You will not be disappointed!

I couldn’t have asked for a better tour. Pape is an encyclopedia of cultural and historical knowledge of the Senegambia region. He’s a great teacher with quirks and idiosyncrasies that make the trip memorable and the lessons stick. He’s an incredibly supportive guide who gives you a glimpse of his own life experiences as well as valuing yours. And long after you leave Africa, you have gained a friend. This was one of the best trips of my life.
