While in Kigali after visiting the Volcanoes National park last year, my parter heard about this place and we went over to check it out. We loved the art and ended up taking 2 pieces home with us! They now hang in our living room, like a sweet reminder of the beautiful experience we had in Rwanda!

This gallery and social enterprise venue was simply wonderful. Their approach to training and engagement with the community is brilliant and if you are lucky enough to visit Kigali, make sure you visit this gallery. (Oh and take your credit card, you will want to buy something).

Young artists from all over Rwanda gather at the Ivuka Arts Center to give space for their creativity. A must place to visit for art lovers and an excellent opportunity to discuss with the artists.

I visited here after going to Inema - much the same with overpriced contemporary art at least these guys seem a little more down to earth than Inema which looks like they have alot of support from foreigners. Can pick up some nice pieces but again expect to pay $100 plus. The street kids that this was supposedly set up... More

One of very few artist-run centres in Rwanda, this lively studio-gallery offers a unique and joyous experience. Open to all levels of knowledge and understanding about art, you can wander through the gallery then go and talk with the artists behind the work. I had the wonderful opportunity of purchasing a beautiful painting by a young artist, the first he... More
