The road up the location is very nice with many sightseeing points. Les plain des sables is an incredible place.

It's 24 km from the town. The first 18 km is an excellent road but the last 6 km is atrocious. The viewpoint is interesting but there are far better volcanoes (and viewpoints) in Asia, Europe and the Pacific.

As a Msian too, I googled n found out that if we use our biometric passport, no need visa. Unverified till I go on 6th Nov 2016. Lol.
