We were looking for something to do as a short excursion in Windhoek, having just arrived in the country. It was a short drive and what a great surprise. We immediately drove through giraffes, ostriches and many other animals.
We took the short drive into the mountains from Windhoek. After the entrance gate there is a 7km off-road game drive. We did see some small game and a Giraffe. Nice stop also for picnic overlooking the capital. Once we reached reception they told us...More
After arriving in late morning in Windhoek, taking over our rental car with camping equipment and doing all the Shopping for the coming weeks we booked Daan Viljoen for the first night. Our idea was to get our car and things sorted and also "arrive"...More
We visited only for the day, but I must say the pool area is truly beautiful and peaceful. It feels like you are in the middle of nowhere at a nice lodge. What makes this nice is that it is only 20min drive out of...More
This resort is my favourite place to stay. Top 5 star in service the food was great different choices with taste magical.
The staff where friendly. Maybe more improvement on more drink choices on alcohol free drinks.
Went camping with the kids as part of a little breakaway from the city.
Arrived at a clean campsite with clean tap water, electricity, braai grill and wash basin. The tiled concrete platform these were built into, was spacious enough to preparing food on.
After many years of absence my wife and I paid a visit again this year. The new management has done a wonderful job in upgrading the facility and the overall standard is excellent. Hiked and went on a game drive on our own and no...More
This park is very near Windhoek and was a good place to stay before heading up to Etosha. The park has lots of wildlife that is very easy to observe. In one day I saw 35 species of birds including four species of hornbill. Interactions...More
The rates were double the normal rate and facilities were not that great. Bizarre bathroom setup in that they have separate blocks for showers and toilets and the park doesn't have much in it in terms of wildlife.
