The place to go if you want to go to the beach when in Maputo, as unfortunately the polution of the river Maputo does not permit you to safely bath in Maputo waters. It has an varied offer of good lodge accommodation for a weekend or longer stay.

Spent two nights at the island and it was really awesome. Very beautiful island with nice sites for snorkeling and just general view of ocean life. We stayed at the Nahyeeni Lodge where you have amazing view of the ocean and also Maputo City from a distance. The food is amazing and a walk on the island to see the... More

One of the best Islands to visit, as you arrive you are welcomed with plenty of sea birds, varying from season to season, you could spot Flamingoes, Pelicans, Hamerkop, African Ibis. You can enjoy as well the village where fishers deliver fresh fish in the local restaurants, that you can savoir at any time at affordable prices. If you have... More

The trip is not so easy as the daily boat is not available anymore, but the island is beautiful and very "roots"

If you're thinking of a day visit, please reconsider. You must have at lest one full day free of travel to see what this Island can offer. Catching the ferry over and back in one day leaves around 3 hours to see the Island. Don't expect drivers or motorcyclists to be waiting for you offering to show you the sites... More

It seems time stops, the beaches are endless and the people so nice. Worth a visit to the Light House - crossing the island is spectacular.

Stayed at the Marine Biology Station, but had time to go to Sta Maria and the Portinho area. The Hotel is closed so nothing much is happening. The Station is doing a GREAT job erradicating the house crow. In 3 days didn't see a single one! Always a pleasure going to Inhaca.

After hearing about Inhaca Island we felt it was a must to visit. On the day we discovered the ferry was in repairs. We decided to find a Pvt Boat to transport us 3 Adults 1 Child (8yrs). Our taxi drove us to Club Nautica where we were given the price of US$300.00 for the trip. This would include transfers... More

This island is not very far from Maputo and is a good place to visit during a weekend. I was told that it no longer has the same accommodation it had before, but I cannot conform this. When we visited the island we enjoyed walking around and getting to know its island culture.
