Dark, crowded and full of junk they want to sell to tourists by constantly yelling at them. If you really wanna see a local market and not a tourist trap, go to Vacoas Market.

Not worth a trip if you are with young kids. Colours of the fresh produce market were nice but it is a wet market with lots of touters. Souvenirs market upstairs nothing much to shout about either

Walked the market on a guided food tour, and tried some fruit and fresh juices. Altogether memorable experience in what seems to be the heart of Port Louis. Family enjoyed the experience.
