Found it to be highly overrated, not worth the taxi fee to get up to the fort. In 50 years since independence it seems nothing has been done to make it more memorable. Contractors working on the fort park their cars in the courtyard, and...More

This is truly the center point of Port Louis with a spectacular view of all corners of this city from the highest vantage point that is freely accessible. You are able to view the port, the mountainous area, city center, the Champ de Mars race-course...More

Quick easy walk up from the city center. Highlight of our one-afternoon walk through the city which included the marketplace (blah), the waterfront (refreshing), the Citadel (great outlooks) and Chinatown.

An old fort worth visiting. The view over the entire city is perhaps the best feature. You can also see one of the world's oldest horse race tracks in the world.

Stunning views!! The construction on the fort was a little off putting.....but not an issue! The view from the top of the fort makes up for it!! Absolutely stunning!!

Free entrance. Amazing views of Port Louis, and the mountains behind. Located on the outskirts of Port Louis.

There is some nice views overlooking the city. That being said I would not make a special trip, the fort itself offers very little.

There were not many road signs pointing to Fort Adelaide from the city. Luckily a local gave us directions but still took us a while to walk uphill to the Fort. The path to the Fort was not well maintained, some steps were broken and...More

I went there during the Port Louis by light festival, and have a fantastic view of the city at night, and for the historic part. On the top we can see the port, it’s surrounding
