We stopped here on our One Love boat trip, beautiful Lagoon, lots of adventure, downside, toilets not clean, nothing and nowhere to sit down and drink something. Upside they had a paramedic on the beach to assist me after I picked up a major allergic reaction after eating prawns and lobster. They could give me injections which actually saved my life, thank you very much guys,very... More

I'm not sure why this place is listed High in places to visit in Mauritius. The only good part of the visit is the speed boat ride to reach this island. Otherwise a normal beach with restaurants, like any other beach in Mauritius. The food is expensive. Parasailing and other water activities are available which can be fun if you... More

Sometimes you think that once you've seen a tropical beach, you've seen them all. Believe me, this is one beach that you will always remember!

We drove from Flic on Flac to Trou de l'eau Douce a difficult drive not well sign posted and finally arrived after 2 hours. As we neared the port we were stopped by an operator and asked to pay $50 each to get to the island. That was for the speed boat which takes 12 minutes or the launch which... More

I would not reccomend that anyone visit this totally overcommercialized over marketed dissapointing place.... From the moment we got closer we knew that this was nót what we had anticipated - read beautiful white sanded beaches- it was filled to the brim with tourists and touristy type activities and shops... dirty and over exploited!

A great island to do some snorkelling. It is very touristy with lots of extras to make money from you. If you prefer quiet beaches go somewhere else.

I hadn't planned to visit this island, but when I arrived Mauritius many persons said that Ile aux Cerfs is the most beautiful place in the country and it is the paradise. I don't know if it's the most beautiful place, but I recommend this trip. The color of the water is incredible and there is a long way of... More

Whilst the island is beautiful, there are unscrupulous people involved with water sports activities that charge their own prices over and above what you already paid. Seems they all work together to exploit tourists. There seems to be not much control over everything...ranging from the speed boats to activities operators in respect of fees charged and organisation. Also the bar on the...
