We bought a package to Ile aux Cerfs from Ebrahim Tours and had a nice day by the beach at this island. We opted for the speed boat trip and had more time on the beach. Lunch was served on the island. We also had a nice short ride to the waterfalls where we saw the little monkeys :)
Lunch was served on the island.

We waited for more than an hour for the transfer - the other group had not arrived. It was raining and cold and the boat trip was not enjoyable. Only one restraunt on the island ... expensive . If you want to sun bathe on white sand arrive early .. all boats return at 3.30. Avoidable experience.

An unforgettable private honeymoon trip

We are staying at Long Beach and booked with Monica. We have just got back from the trip of a lifetime.

We were sceptical about booking initially which is understandable when booking excursions with people on the beach that you have never met before.

We had a fantastic guide Sonny who gave us bread to feed wild monkeys and then drove us to a beautiful waterfall. He then took us around Ile Aux Cerf to a beach that we had to ourselves. We then met Samuel who cooked us an incredible lunch: Shoemaker fish, garlic bread, shrimp, lobster and more with drinks included. The lunch was nothing short of 5 star.

In our opinion, any negative reviews here should be overlooked and we would highly recommend using this family run business!

The activities are ok, you can go to rum factories, lychee winery, adventure parks and more, but the beaches are average at best.

This trip was pretty expensive, about 1800roepies per person. Unfortunately we had rain. On the island is a big golf resort, were it is not allowed to sit on the sunbeds or have a drink. The beach is beautiful. We took the trip through a local man named Satish. It also included seeing the waterfall and at the end a bbq. Well worth seeing.

We travelled to Ile Aux Cerfs as a part of our private speedboat ride with Oceane Cruises. We spent a couple of hours here. Clean, quiet and clam waters which allowed us to swim and snorkle. The entire area around was green and that made it pleasurable for us while we were there.
There are couple of restaurants with food which was expensively priced. You can either sit on the beach which is free or rent paid chairs.

We took a connection Catamaran from Preskil Island Resort to the Ile Aux Cerf. The trip was pleasant and really fun, overseeing the East Coast of Mauritius and the Mountains from afar. On the way to Ile Aux Cerf we say a herd of Wild Dolphins, playing around the Catamaran while we were dining on the freshly prepared BBQ.
Make sure you take a whole day for the trip. You can do Beach, Bar, Restaurant and even Shopping in Ile Aux Cerf. The Sea Tide should be considered too.

We had a free boat from our hotel to Iles aux Cerfs, so visited a few times. Our main interest was snorkeling. The best place that we found was at the south-eastern point of the island. This is past a private beach. We both ignored the "Private, no trespassing" signs and set off from the far end of the beach, and snorkelled across the bay on different occasions. The staff on the beach didn't seem to mind when we trespassed. There are a couple of small islands and a rocky area that is very shallow at low tide. The best snorkeling is just past the islands, but be careful as once you get past the point, the current picks up. Also be careful of sea-urchins. They are everywhere and in shallow water are hard to avoid. In the sandy areas, we were warned about razor shells too, though we had no problem with them. Basically, as soon as it's deep enough, get snorkeling and avoid walking in the sea.
The island is very tranquil with many quiet beaches. There are some private areas, and a (very highly rated) golf course in the middle of the island.
