Wonderful place to visit. Beautiful landscape. A must if you going by the south of the island. Crushing waves on the cliffs gives a impressive view and sensation.

After Pont Naturel, Le Souffleur is another piece of heaven on earth. Off-road path would require you to have a big wheel car like a 4X4, but it is worth visiting. Who would believe that the rock actually blows water! You may need to be patient to witness it plus you need to be there when there is high tides, but believe there is word good enough to explain this beauty!

The day we came down here there was not another soul around. The road to get here is signposted from L'Escalier although easily missed! It is bumpy in parts and takes a while down narrow roads but worth it at the end - big waves crash over black volcanic rocks and the endless sea views make you feel that you are at the end of the world!!

This area of Mauritius is known for windy days and rough seas which generate this attraction.

The day we went it was also raining so it was quite rough. The waves hitting a gap in the rocks generate big spray coming up between the rocks. Similar to the Blowhole at Kiama, Australia.

You reach the attraction by driving through a sugar cane with the last 2kms over fairly rough terrain, so be careful if you have a low clearance car.

Worth the visit.

In a rainy day, a place where to meditate about your feelings like the ocean is making places to escape thru rocks. Very special place.

What a place to go for a good few. Can be busy and very windy at times. Love going on the beach and looking for treasures. Nice at sunset

'souffleur' meaning 'blower' - as others have said, in the right conditions the rock structure causes surges of water to blow up. I hear it is very impressive when it happens...I understand some of the rock structure has collapsed as you used to be able to get up really close to it, but, don't know if it has collapsed entirely or we were just unlucky with our timing. We weren't able to stay for long to see.
regardless, it is a lovely spot with incredible views.
