This was my third overnight in Bamako in the past four months and up until this last trip I only made it out for dinner. This time, based on the recommendations of others, I made the effort to get to this complex. It wasn't disappointing, to say the least. The Park is great and includes an area dedicated to medicinal... More

A green and quiet refuge in the midst of Bamako's diesel smoke and dust. We had afternoon tea at the Maison du thé in the park, played cards and marvelled at how much greenery could exist this far inland in the African Sahel.

We went on a Momday and the guests were outnumbered by staff. I nice stroll around the grounds. Located next to the museum and the zoo, it could be part of a fun day.

Local residents fill up the park on weekends and they dress up before they go to take selfies of themselves in a beautiful place. The park grounds contain the excellent Restaurant Balasko and the National Museum. There's a tea house set in a glade for quiet reading and walk up a rocky hill for a view of the city.

Is a nice park, quite big, clean, well maintained. You can have different activities. Sometimes are organised spectacles. Great for children, jogging ...

I would do this if you are visiting the national zoo or museum. Play ground has swings and other play equipment for small children. When you get tired of the park the zoo is right next store. You can enter from the national park directly (additional fee's). The national museum is also inside the park.

It is a nice area to relax. Many children and the grounds are well kept. A really lovely place at the week-end.
