This monument, which is also known as Angela Mainty, was built by the French as a World War 1 Monument , and is located in the middle of Lake Anosy.

I went here as part of walking tour from Tourist office. Something to see in Tana. Given I was with a guide, I wasn't bothered by beggars.

It is not necessary to go for it. You may have a chance to just take a one shot photo when you come or go in and out the city. Inside the park arround the lake extremely dirty.
