The zoo was good to get a first look at some lemurs and mostly to see the Fosa that you are not very lucky to see in the wild. A lot of the zoo is in the sun, so it was quite hot walking around it in December (summer). We went on a Sunday and it was not as crowded... More

I liked this place!! It has all sort of animals, from snakes to Lemures, to crocodiles and turtles, very old ones!! It even has tombs of different parts of Madagascar. Really nice. And it is in the city!!

I love going to this place on Saturday afternoons where I can enjoy spending time with lemurs, animals and seeing birds and watching plants and trees.

The zoo itself is very dirty, animals are all skinny. It was full of people during the day I was there (Sunday).

We visited only the botanical gardens as we already had visited lemurs at the National Park. The guide was very knowledgable about the endemic plants. We learned how fig trees co-exist with palm trees; saw several boabab trees; and touched the plant that is called Napoleon hat. The tour lasted 1,5 hours with a short break at the cafe. On... More

Is a zoo, a botanical garden and even some kind of archaeological collection. The cages are small, but you can find some islands more open to the lemmurs and birds. You can buy some raffia gifts (a really good price)
