Lemurs Park is not exactly a zoo, but it is somewhat zoo-like. The lemurs are in a fairly natural setting and free to roam. They are very close, not caged, and very used to people, so it makes for great pictures. You definitely get to...More

This is a pleasant place to visit, located around an hour's drive West of Tana. There are several breeds of lemur at the park, which are mainly rescue animals, some previously kept as pets. The idea of the park is to encourage the lemurs to...More

Lemurs' Park is an excellent way to see lemurs in the wild. This park is 45 minutes to an hour from Tana depending on traffic but well worth the drive. The lemurs are uncaged. Our guide was excellent at locating the lemurs and enticing them...More

We enjoyed the entire experience, we never saw Lemurs before, it was stunnning to see them in their natural enviroment. The forest is tranquil, put good hiking shoes on as it is a climb. Well worth the experience.

The lemurs live in a single enclosed area. It's not a wilderness experience but is a good opportunity to see lemurs in something of a natural setting. The tour guide was quite helpful and informative.

Excellent for visitors to Tana who cannot travel Madagascar extensively to see the Lemurs in the forest. All the Lemurs and other animals roam freely. There is a small souvenir shop and restaurant. You can see most Lemur species. Guides are friendly, well-informed and speak...More

We were able to visit here and get lots of great pictures. The Lemurs got really close and their tails even brushed us as they jumped over our head.

While some say its touristy, i have to say it was one of our best experiences in seeing Lemurs. We saw more lemurs, up close and personal, then we did any where else. In the parks you see lemurs, but usually they are so far...More

The lemurs are plentiful and roaming free in a very well situated and maintained nature preserve. The wildlife was used to humans in their space, but still wild.

Lemur parc is just outside Antananarivo, the capital. Lemur island is a little reserve owned by Vakona Hotel in Andasibe. That is a 3 hour drive from the capital.

We picked up a taxi in the center of town and it cost $20 U.S. Round trip. He waited whilst we did the tour with the park guide which took about an hour. He initially wanted $40 but eventually took $20. There is a fee for... More
