Great to see this monument newly created in Gambia. We went to see this beautiful arch and building at its slender. The history is very interesting about the revaluation that took place. Lovely restaurant here with goof coffee and food. Parking area also at the venue.

Impressive looking arch and a great photo opportunity. Commemorates the revolution and worth an hour of your time if you get the chance

For many years it was am impressive arch to drive around and photo. Now that you can climb up it is worth it for the views. I have taken great city life photos without hassle.

Built to commemorate the 22 July date of Independence, it is a striking landmark if not that beautiful so I don't think I would make a special visit

Takes ages before you get your food. Very expensive even if you just order some toast and eggs. However great, flushing toilet... when I visited from May - Aug there was a really friendly woman working there.

The view from the arch is great and the history displayed inside is really interesting. Not the best thing to do in the Gambia, but worth a visit.

For 50 dalasi, you get a tour of the arch all the way to the top, and an excellent view of Banjul. However the museum at the top is extremely underwhelming (for lack of a better word). Half of the exhibit was pushed to the side and looked as if no one had been there in decades, but the view... More

Took my Gambian fiancé out to Banjul for the day to do a bit of shopping and R&R. taxi dropped us off next to the roundabout opposite Arch22. we had a lovely stroll around and spent some time looking at the nice green spaces. unfortunately they had scaffolding up painting Arch22, but it was still lovely to look out. TIP1.... More
