Relaxing day on the pirogue boat cruising the creeks of the Gambia River. You can spot many birds during the trip through the mangroves. We saw pelicans, ospreys and herons. During the trip was an opportunity to swim on a small beach and there was a delicious lunch served. You also got the opportunity to fish, catch and release only.... More

So, our trip began, a little cloudy from Denton Bridge, only another 15 passenger,,so lunch will be good. A Swedish couple was the first encounter, retired and respectful. Then Papa embarrassed us both with his local knowledge. Then onto the top deck whereby a homeland guy introduced us to his daughter far beyond her Years. The crew were as we... More

This is always worth doing: if you can book direct that saves 30%, a 6- hour river trip into the more remote tributaries of the river Gambia plus lunch and fishing thrown in. You get to swim too, but be careful: the river current is very strong. A relaxing day out with bus rides included.

This full day tour starts with a 2.5 hour trip up the Gambia River on a boat. There is not much to see as the river is very wide. And the air is full of diesel fumes from the boat. They did serve a fairly nice lunch. The first stop is the Roots village where children sing for candy &... More

Very relaxing sunset cruise! About 2 hours. Great guide and wonderful wildlife. Full of mangroves and the oyster women collecting oysters from the mangroves is a sight to see.

Short river trip with dolphin sighting, was very good, food was fine, and plenty to drink. Does not start to early so had breakfast first and got back to the hotel early afternoon

We booked a cruise for a group of four people. The day was very relaxing, just chilling on the boat and fishing. The crew helped us with fishing and prepared us the most delicious lunch including local dishes such as chicken yassa. There's not much to do or see on the boat, but for those wishing to swim in the... More

5 odd hours of rest and relaxation along a boat across the river Gambia. Tried my hand at fishing as well and some daredevils took a dive in the river. All in all a great way to the spend the day if you are out for something peaceful after a stressful day
