You will visit this building for the sheer size and imposing nature of the building. It is large and as you get closer you are amazed at the sheer size. It dominates the whole precinct and it bright exterior color makes it well worth a visit.

Cidade Alta represents the modern face of Luanda, where roads are good and scenes are pleasant. you can find there the new parliament house as seen in the photo.

Nice buildings
One weird thing about Luanda is that there are virtually no taxis on the street except local minibus types
You need to call them
Very awkward for getting around and a very stupid idea
Don't forget to change to kwanchas on the street
50 per cent more
No problem with police

Good views of the cidade bassa. Don't take photos around here as it is a high security zone. Some nice old buildings.

It is worth visiting to get a feel of the colonial past of this country, so rocked by tragedy and wars.

Cidade Alta is where the presidential palace and offices as well as the accommodations and offices of other high-ranking officials. Do not walk around here as a tourist and no pictures. There are military personnel on every corner and they will be very suspicious of anyone looking like a tourist.

Recommended for those you appreciate old portuguese architecture. Its got a lovely church and you can visit the Fort museum. However, due to high security, it is almost impossible to take pictures of the buildings without getting into trouble.

There are some wonderfully beautiful beautiful buildings but when we were on a tour we were not allowed to take pictures. Luanda seems on one hand to encourage tourism, and then on the other hand not letting photo's is counterproductive. After seeing the 'poor' area which is being torn down slowly for high rises, this area is really nice, but very segregated. But, nothing special and not overly worth going out of one's way to see, other than there is not a lot of interesting things to see in Luanda other than the fort anyways.
