About a dozen people travelled by bus 15 minutes out side the town of Victoria Falls. We walked down this desert path to be confronted by two female lions and around five guides. We were all issued with a big stick in case things got out of control. The sticks were not needed but I'm not sure how useful they... More

This attraction is incredible. We felt so privileged that these magnificent animals allowed us to share their space, stroke them, and walk with them. This is an experience that I will remember for the rest of my life.

They are probably doing good work, but the visit was more of a long, expensive photo-op aimed at enticing you to buy a video of yourself petting a lion.

Sadly, their population has been reduced by up to 90 percent since 1975, due in part to loss of habitat and the likes of infamous Minnesota dentist Walter Palmer. Lion Encounter... More

I could not have prepared myself for how wonderful this experience was yesterday. I did this with my family of 5, and no one was left disappointed. It was surreal to be walking around with a famously fierce and respected animal, but more importantly I loved the educational aspect it provided. The message of the importance of conservation and taking... More

My partner and I did the lion walking in Zimbabwe. It was a fabulous experience. Really so special to be up close with these animals. It is totally crazy to trust them so whole heartily, after all they are wild lions. They are very well looked after, at no time did we see any of the handlers touch them with... More

What a privilege to be able to walk with and pat these majestic creatures. You are given 45 minutes to accompany two young lions on their morning walk. While used to people, these orphan lions are being taught to fend for themselves in the wild. Plenty of photo opportunities and a personal DVD is produced if you wish to keep these... More

WOW, awesome, amazing, unbelievable, out of this world, surreal!!! This is one of those things that you will do once in a lifetime, I will never forget this experience. Possibly one of the best things I have ever done and I've done lots. The walks are held at a lion conservation and breeding ground so no cruelty to animals, the... More
