Not worth the $$$. Lions are trained and seem afraid of the trainers. Very touristy and Ethicality of Lion keep seems questionable. They do outright claim to be mainly for tourists and a spin off/fundraiser for their rehab center, Antelope Park, however, not a great experience, pretty boring.

As with any encounter with a wild animal, one feels extremely privileged to be able to have the experience, but there is a fine line between having a special "human" experience at the expense of a wild animal. According to the guide, the money they make with the lion encounters is used for protecting and conserving lions in Zimbabwe. One... More

Like the other reviewers, I was skeptical about this adventure at first because I was unfamiliar with the background of this company. But, after talking with the guides, I believe that the lions are being treated well and the babies are released into the wild so that they are not dependent on humans. The instructions we were given at the... More

We visited the lion encounter office and arranged for an experience with the lions. This experience is unbelieveable I personally think one of the best experiences of all time. To be able to walk with these majestic beasts which are endangered is magical. We were collected from our hotel, given safety instructions and VERY VERY IMPORTANTLY talked through the program... The guides were really awesome in explaining exactly what the purpose of the conservation was, which made me feel much better about it all. It is expensive, but totally worth it as you get to be right beside a lion, and the money goes to a great cause as well. It was an amazing experience, and something you have to... More

Being conservation minded we weren't sure about this activity, but after spending time with the lions, and speaking with the staff, any doubts we had were soon put aside. This experience will stay with us for a long time.

The only thing that made the experience worth what they charge is knowing that the money is going to such a great cause! The lions were friendly, the guides were knowledgeable and we had a great time. Would recommend.

Wish I could give this 10 stars. Don't miss this when visiting the falls. You spend at least an hour walking with, petting and learning about the lions. You are right with them and the trainers walking through the preserve in the bush and along trails. You have an opportunity to buy a video of the experience and the trainer... More

Since before even leaving my home city for Zimbabwe I was asked what I looked forward to the most, the answer was always the same: Walking with Lions. I set out on this special adventure with my boyfriend for an AM session. We did the Shearwater Elephant Back Safari and Lion Encounter combo package. When we arrived we were greeted... More

I loved every second of this. I did the shorter walk which was virtually just as long as the long walk but cost half the price. You get to see a video at the end that tells you where all of the money is going which I found to be very helpful. The only reason I am hesitant to give... More
