The place is clean well managed and excellent food and few lodges if you want to stay at this place The bird viewing is supervised by trained personnel near this place you can visit the lion and cheeter park to see wild animals at close range inside your car. Beautiful lakefront setting with stunning views and the breeze off the lake - all set against the background calls of the fish eagle - this is a lovely day outing for the family - highly recommended with a fantastic restaurant and bar !!!!!

What a lovely place as it was my first time to visit this sanctuary in Zimbabwe. I learnt a lot about birds and their different types. Kuimba Shiri is set in a lovely peaceful part of Lake Chivero where we had a lovely lunch in the garden under the trees. Wonderful work is being done there for birds that are no longer able to survive in the wild, with very limited resources so supporting them is a great help to the care of the birds as... More

During the past 2 weeks I stayed over at the Bird park twice. Once camping and once in the lodges both times I was made to feel at home and welcome. The place is full of all sorts of birds found in Zimbabwe and Southern Africa and one learns a lot about bird species that have been generally regarded as secrete. Driving down you think..seriously is this place really a touch of wild so near to Harare. The the Tree entrance makes for a wow factor when the you see the lake and you are amazed

Two days at Kuimba Shiri Bird Sanctuary was one of the highlights of our holiday in Zimbabwe. The chalets were rustic and just right for the surrounding area. We loved being out by the water and seeing the wide variety of birds.The food was delicious and the service friendly and prompt. Kuimba Shiri is a wonderful place to spend the day.

If you are who is in touch with nature and love water this is the place for you ....We visited kuimbashiri with a couple of friends and we enjoyed the facilities there mainly the volleyball and pool area , we also enjoyed the lunch that we had there and having to see the Zimbabwean bird among many other birds made...
