The square itself is quiet, solemn, and tucked away in a portion of the city that is not heavily trafficked...so this does give it an air of isolation. Additionally, the square is actually a very large raised platform, so it does not have vehicular traffic either. To see it would require ascending up to it on foot. That said, it... More

Excellent place with fantastic view! very clean and huge area - you can visit during the day or night-time. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time at Kasbah Square. It is located very close to Mosque Al-Zitouna and Al-Madina Market. Some beautiful sculptures in the square. You must visit -once you are in Tunis! From our hotel- Golden Tulip Tunis, the square... We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Kasbah square. Here we saw the beautiful Mosque, tomb of a martyr who fought to defend his country against the Spanish occupation, intricately decorated street walls and doors. As we began photo shooting at the square, we asked a passerby, to take our picture. She gladly obliged and took some nice pictures. After... More

Great place to visit if you want to walk around and people watch, but I wasn't interested in that the day I went and it was extremely hot so I didn't like it that much but my partner did. Really well kept place, very busy and clean. You can definitely do without if you're short on time. It's close to... More

This is a central location for coming and going from the medina. There are some gardens, but it's basically an area with the government building and some great possibilities for people watching, although I would prefer people watching on Avenue de France.

This is a lovely area. I was a little nervous about visiting it having since the Kasbah in Algiers but this place is extremely well kept, clean and lovely to visit (with plenty of security too!)

Great place to sit and have a coffee or tea and just watch life walk by. Great central location at the entrance to the Medina. Large plaza with a number outdoor sitting locations. Great place to catch your breath!

The merchants insist you buy from them. They follow you with their wares especially jewelry of gold and silver.

Nothing to see, move along please....fairly nondescript although trying not to walk too close to the razor sharp barb wire next to the government buildings was interesting enough
