It's an experience that I don't need to repeat. If you have an offline mobile map, it's easy to find the place. The staff speaks very little English but somehow I managed to experience the traditional bath. I was prepared that someone will try to rip me off, but it was not actually bad. TND 10.00 for the entrance fee, TND 15.00 for the bath/massage and the linen to cover myself was not actually bad. When it comes to massage, it's not really a massage. Just someone who will bath and rub you with soap. There's a warm pool/bath inside where you can soak yourself to relax. There are also some shower cubicles before drying yourself off. If you're very keen to hygiene, this is not probably a place for you. Just remember this place is more for the locals than for tourists.

The place is not easy to find, though asking the locals will help. The best aspects of my visit were being able to enjoy the architecture and the ambience. That said it was all a bit rushed, and not especially relaxing. Having visited many other hammams this one was only average at best. The staff are friendly and the massage was ok. Note that no one speaks English only Arabic and French. There was hardly anytime at the start to get a sweat on in the (only vaguely warm) "hot" room before being pumelled by two rather bored blokes. They became much more enthusiastic when reminding me, several times, to leave them a tip.
15 minutes later it was all over. No option to relax on the central marble slab as is usual...and it was cold anyway. There were some side rooms with mattresses and pillows where you could lie, but these were none too clean.
Overall - just about worth a trip. I was asked to pay 15 dinars and gave 20 to include the much demanded tip. Go expecting not too much, and you'll be fine.
