I arranged this at the last minute as a surprise for my brother and sister. Our driver was aware and did all he could to keep it a secret (greatly appreciated). We had an early start but got to experience a mini night safari and...More
Car picks you up at your camp early, still dark, and drives you to the field where the balloons are being set up. Baskets hold 16 people in 4 sections so plenty of room and with security straps you always feel safe. Climbing in and...More
This was the most amazing experience. We took off as the sun was rising and flew along the path of the Grumeti river, spotting a huge crocodile and glimpsed a pride of lion amongst the trees there. Then the balloon floated across the plains and...More
It was a great experience travelling on a hot air balloon but don't do it solely for animal spotting, the animals tend to be terrified of the sound of the hot air balloon and although we did see many zebra, gazelle, giraffes, elephants, most ran...More
A fantastic experience to view sunrise over the Serengeti from the sky! We had a stunning morning and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. So great to see the wildlife from above as well - we could see so far! Jason is a very experienced pilot so...More
Organisation was good. We were one of six balloons. It’s a good hour in the dark to get to the site. Very professional and informative. We felt safe. Smooth landing. Disappointed we didn’t see many animals and it was very expensive. The champagne breakfast afterwards...More

There is nothing more amazing than seeing the sunrise on the Serengeti, until you’ve seen it from a balloon a few hundred feet in the air.
Whatever you decide to do, make sure to do this.

Hi NKerba, thank you for your question. Our baskets carry 16 pax and 12 pax. They are divided into compartments for 2 or 4 people and all afford a direct outward view. We fly many professional photographers and film makers. A hot air balloon provides a stable platform for photography and of course a unique perspective on the scenery and wildlife. We expect the great herds of migrating wildebeest to be in Southern Serengeti at your time and the possibility of the females dropping the first calves! Safari njema! (Swahili - Have a wonderful safari)!
