One of the highlights of our trip to the Serenget! Absolutely fascinating! Actually watched a hippo eating a baby hippo...yikes! Apparently something that doesn't happen ever. A must do!

We stopped at the hippo pool while on our recent Serengeti visit. Lots and lots of hippos, all sizes and shapes. The smell was overwhelming but it was still incredible to see that many hippos in one place.

A lot of them in the pool. And we saw some baby hippos which are really cute. The pool smells pretty bad though as the hippos pee and poop in there too!

A strange feeling to be so close to these dangerous animals. However it felt a bit like a zoo even though noone was caged in.
