This name is well known as the site where the Leakeys, and others, discovered the most ancient human bones, and it was wonderful to see where this really was, and what it was like. The local Masai ranger gave a very interesting 20 minute talk...More

Oldupai gorge is a place for research, studies and tourism. We visited it many times with family and friends and every time you learn something. The local masai will take you for a walk up to shifting sand which is mysterious sand.

The information shared by the gentleman was informative and very well understood. I loved seeing the various layers and going through the museum itself. The foot steps were a wonderful real world understanding of early man walking. Loved this stop.

Given its historical and cultural significance, I was a bit underwhelmed to find that the Olduvai Gorge Museum was little more than a dusty two room exhibit in the middle of nowhere. The visit required a particularly bumpy off-road ride down what barely equates to...More

Hello. How long a drive is it from Kilimanjaro Airport to Olduvai Gorge. We want to do a 3-day trip to SErengeti, but include Oludvai and don't know if that is feasible
