We had a wonderful trip with our guide Thomas as part of our 3-night safari. He was a knowledgeable and friendly guide and, as two women traveling alone, we felt very safe with him. He was always on the lookout for animals that we couldn't spot and made it an amazing adventure. We were extremely pleased with the tour operator overall as well - everyone was helpful and accommodating. The lodging was great (mid-range option) and the food was good (not great). Overall, one of the best travel experiences we have ever had. I definitely recommend Savannah Explorers!

We have experienced a 3 days safari to lake Manyara and Ngorongoro, even if it was a short safari we spot a lot of animal and enjoyed the nature. Lions hunting a zebra in the crater was so exciting. Our guide Abdul was friendly and professional with so good eyes. Albert in the office replied quickly our requests and was available also during the weekend, it's a shame we didn't have time to meet him in person. Overall it was a great experience for a reasonable price.

We have just completed a 5 day/4 night safari and it was truly spectacular! Mauldi, our guide, was fantastic - very knowledgeable, adapted to our interests and wonderful chilled company! We saw so many animals, beautiful landscapes and were very sad to come to the end of our tour. Savanna explorers offered a great service and were very flexible with our very last minute planning! We recommend them highly!

Safari in the national parks of northern Tanzania: serengeti, gorongoro manyara, lake eyasi, tarangire. With our driver we saw many animals and birds. Particularly exciting is the crossing of the wildebeests of the Mara river, the numerous lions and a beautiful leopard. With my wife we said: "we have to go back"!

My sister and I went on a private safari in Tanzania with Savannah Explorers. Albert worked closely with us to tailor the trip to our detailed requirements. He's very accommodating, provided great recommendations, and is a fine communicator. We created a safari combining wildlife viewing and cultural activities on the Tanzania mainland along with snorkeling on the island of Zanzibar. Before selecting Savannah Explorers we researched tour operators in the area, read reviews, reached out to a dozen tour operators, requested trip proposals, exchanged emails and phone calls. We setup a selection matrix with weighted selection criteria to help with our decision process. Savannah Explorers came out on top. They were professional, flexible to our needs, and fine communicators. When we arrived at the airport in Arusha our driver/guide Aby was waiting for us. He was there for us throughout the safari. He drove us around in a Toyota LandCruiser with a pop-top for excellent wildlife viewing and photography. Aby is friendly, knowledgeable, and a fine communicator. He identified wildlife for us and provided a wealth of helpful information about the area. He and Albert were in frequent communication, ensuring that the trip was meeting our expectations. Our visit was during Tanzania's long wet season. We were expecting rain every day. Instead the rain came at night, and the days were brilliant. As most tourists flock to Tanzania during the great wildebeest migration we had the place mostly to ourselves. Due to the rains the dirt roads were flooded in several areas. Aby drove like a champ, always finding the best route, and never getting stuck. In fact, he helped two other vehicles get unstuck. We were so glad to have him as our driver/guide. As it happens our trip got cut short by the Corona Virus. Tourists were fleeing back to their home countries before the airlines closed. However during our week in Tanzania we packed in a school visit, a couple tribal village tours, and saw an amazing amount of wildlife in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. In spite of the shortened trip, we had a wonderful time. Albert and Aby did a great job at making our safari experience a great success. Highly recommended.
