A short boat trip away from the mainland you find this pristine white sand beach and crystal clear waters paradise. Lovely seafood lunch available at a reasonable price and private sitting areas in the shade. Spectacular!

It is a 20 minute trip by motorised boat to the island. nice seating arrangements. Beer, snacks and cold drinks available. Entry is chargeable. A nice place for a picnic.

I spent the day here. They have staff that can bring a bed for you to lay on, and a small restaurant. The staff also brought drinks to where I was set up. The island itself is pretty cool, and it's far enough offshore that the water is pretty clean as well.

It was one of those days, our trip to Zanzibar did not go as planned the day before due to protests said to take place in that week(that never happened/Tanzanians=peaceful bunch). We desperately needed a break from the city considering that in 2 days we would start our journey back to United Concrete Jungle. I convinced the hubby that even though it... More

Actually an underwhelming experience. The sales over sells the experience. The minute you arrive on shore (via ferry from White Sands Hotel) you are asked whether you'd like to 'rent' shade...etc. Would not rush back!

We really wanted to go there, travelled all the way to Kunduchi Beach Hotel where we learnt that the boat to go there is 15000 TSH/person but to put your leg on the island cost not-Tanzanians 20.000 TSH (10 USD). When I asked what can we see different there we learnt that the beach thereis exactly the same as the... More

We went out to the island on a Sunday morning. It was peaceful since we went so early. As the day progressed many boats arrived with a great number of people. Many of these people think everyone wants to hear their music. The park fees are a bit high. The fish and chips are overpriced.
