This is real pristine rainforest with huge trees, a very diverse vegetation and rich birdlife. We also found it very interesting to see the village, which also has some interesting... More

Visited Amani twice during my stay in Tanzania. A bit of a pain to get to, but worth the trip! Beautiful waterfalls and trails. We went with a guide who took us on a night hike one evening and we saw loads of chameleons. Recommend staying in the Amani Conservation Centre Resthouse

We stayed at Emau hill forest camp, beautifully set in the forest on a cliff next to a little river. The camp has simple but comfortable tent rooms. The food is great and the staff friendly an knowledgable. A great getaway if you want to experience one of the last rain forest ecosystems on earth.

great place if you have time in Tanzania. If you're interested in seeing tons of animals, maybe skip this place. If you're looking to relax and hike, it's perfect.

I stayed here for over a month on a field course. THough you won't be bombarded with "typical African" mammals, you'll find a beautiful rainforest set admist the clouds.
