This was really my favourite spot in Rabat with its narrow streets and beautifully painted houses, but for me the best thing was the view of the sea, and the architecture of the stairways leading down

The Kasbah is located where the river meets the sea. You can look back at the city, or you can look down on the beach. The day I visited, there was mist along the shore, which made the fort appear a bit mysterious. There are...More

Nice Kasbah, and with a little tip you can also have a guide that explains you about the buildings, people that used to live, the origin of the city, etc. Once you got in, you can walk between the tiny streets and houses painted in...More

We enjoyed this visit. The little streets inside the Kasbah with the white and blue paint are very interesting. You need to walk to the very end so you can get out to the open area to overlook parts of Rabat and the ocean. Easy...More

Our Moroccan Tour started with this kasbah. Our tour guide explained that originally it was both a center of commerce and a fort for protection. We started at the Bab El Kebir (the upper gate) and proceeded walked through the kasbah . Just inside the...More

If you want to have a quiet walk through the beautifully blue and white painted little streets, this is the place to be. There are view points that look over the beach and a garden nearby. Also a great photo opportunity!

Narrow alleyways, blue walls , interesting perspecitves, but the artisan work was lacking both quality and quantity.

Here you will find a clean and peaceful zone which is a nice getaway from the Medina if you happen to be staying there. Some of the alleyways resemble Greece, and there is a nice place for tea and pastry with a view.

The view of the Ocean is wonderful as are the cooling breezes. the small alley's lead you to a beautiful garden. We took many photos of the greenery, walls of the Kasbah, and the locals themselves. Lots of cats and people relaxing.

How do I get to the Kasbah, is there a tram or bus? Would it be a good place to rent an apartment for a month?

The golden tulip hotel is nearby. you could walk from there. Within 15 minutes walking distance of the Kasbah there are many hotels. There are also very fine hotels in the Medina across the street from the Kasbah. The... More
