The reverance for the Royal Family is evident in conversations with the inhabitants of Morocco and is also evident in this spectacular final resting place for Mohammad V and 2 family members. It is gorgeous but not pretentious. When one enters the actual mausoleum the silence is profound as one pays their respect to those interned therein.

Well worth a visit to view the mosaics and carvings. Great view of the river and Sale from this vantage point too. Co-located with Hassan Tower.

This is a must see tomb near the Hassan tower. We took a taxi there. There are palace guards in red in and around the building. Definitely do a pic with them. The ceiling is very beautiful as well. The view of the city from the tomb is lovely.

Very large Mausoleum with many guards. Interesting to view. We even got to see a holy man praying in the Mausoleum.

This is a modern mausoleum and very impressive. The interior is truly amazing and a truely a beautiful tribute to the king. As previous contributors have noted the guards are friendly and give a good impression of the welcoming nature in Morocco. It is immaculately kept and free. Definitely make time to go.

A visit to the mausoleum is not to be missed. The view of the city from the mausoleum is stunning. The mausoleum itself is wonderful.

Set alongside the incomplete mosque, this is again an impressive recognition of a wise and imaginative monarch. I agree with other comments: the guards are human yet ceremonially smart as they honour the heritage of their King's family. It is a must when visiting Rabat, including the adjacent mosque and visitor's colonnade.

An impressive memorial to a beloved king. Fantastic ceiling and tile work. Adjacent to an ancient unfinished mosque. Worth a quick visit

Unlike guards at many other similar places in the world like in the UK or Russia, the guards at this mausoleum do not behave like robots, but like human beings. They smile and even laugh when something funny happens. It does not seem to affect their general attiude of respect for the former king whose tomb they protect. Bravo.
