At just about $2 per person, it's the best deal on an art museum abroad I've found. They focus on Moroccan and African art and do a superb job. The displays are thoughtfully chosen, varied and fascinating. Worth every penny and minute of our time....More

This museum is probably the best in Morocco and the most interesting one to visit in Africa. It is beautiful.

This museum is obviously new. The paintings and exhibits they had were well worth seeing, but it still feels a little bare. We enjoyed what we saw and the cafe is good.

We had the opportunity to visit the Museum few months ago, with the great privilege to have the Museum Director and 2 of his assistants as "guides". The Museum gives you an outstanding summary of Morocco's contemporary art's history throughout samples of major Moroccan artists....More

Finally Rabat gets its museum of modern art, which regularly proposes excellent temporary art exhibits. It is currently showing an exceptional Picasso exhibit, first of its kind in Africa! Very affordable entrance fee. A must-see.

Was looking forward to visiting this new and very expensive museum and seeing what the king-endorsed building and presumably collection was all about. There was nice eye-catching art outside but upon entering was greeted by a lot of empty floor space and even more downstairs....More

Interesting collection of modern art often showing strong messages from the artists. Take time to look at the art outside of the museum as well. We had seen several advertisements for a Picasso exhibit that with dates that indicated it would be open when we...More

Do allow a couple of hours for this surprisingly lovely modern art museum. I don't know if there is anything else like it in Morocco or in North Africa. I came away impressed and surprised, especially by the very modern exhibits focusing on women artists....More
