The menara gardens are a 10 minute taxi drive outside marrakech with free entry. We went for a second time in a year the first time the views of the Atlas were spectacular...worth the visit alone. The second time the heat haze obscured everything...so you do need to get lucky. Lots of olive groves...many your not able to walk through....and NO... More

We came here on an organised trip on the "Gardens of Marrakech". Unfortunately it was a chilly and cloudy day so no view. There wasn't a lot of time here after the walk up from the coach drop off. The pavilion looked deserted so assume it wasn't open. There wasn't time for a comfortable walk round the "pool" to the... More

A lovely stroll through a romantic setting. We were lucky enough to have beautiful weather on our visit through the olive groves and got an amazing view of the Atlas mountains in the background of the pavilion. Unfortunately the pavilion was closed off when we visited but it was still worth it for the views and tranquility (if you manage... More

It's free and I was in the area, so I went to see if I could replicate the picture you see on the postcards (the building, with reflection in the pond and atlas mountains in background). The pond wasn't still enough, and the atlas mountains were not visible due to haze. The building is 10 dirhams entry and is quite... More

It is a good 30 to 40 minutes from Fana and Koutobia mosque. Good footpath and well signposted. There is not much in the park itself, except the pool and some snack shops. This place is popular with the local families and may be developed further. You like to use horse cart to return, which must not charge more than... More

The 1869 pavilion (menara) is near a waterbasin in the middle of a green area between the city and the airport at a distance of 4 km from El Fna (5 km if you walk through the Oliveraie). Because it is called a garden most foreigners think they are going to visit a park like area. However garden in Morocco... More

Avery beautiful pool with and old building, and a relaxing view, with mountains and olive fields. Highly recommendable for a relaxing afternoon.

Easy to find however off the beaten track. It separates the Menara airport from the city. The reservoir is old and slightly neglected. The main building seems to be the biggest attraction. It is dated but not as much as the gardens itself. While everything is Marrakesh is watered Menara gardens do look like that memo wasn't received. Many locals... More
