Lovely building. The views were nice. The water was muddy coloured not like in paintings but still lovely to see.

Not quite sure when, if ever, this becomes a garden. It consists of; a large olive field, a oversized concrete pool of very dirty (litter laiden) water, and two rectangles of dirt with some weeds in. The pavillion itself was an empty building. Yes there is a great view of the atlas moutnains behind it, but its not worth the... More

Only go if you have a real passion for olive groves and muddy lakes of water. Was really disappointing and all the other tours we saw arrive there stayed a similar amount of time we did, 15 minutes tops and that was including the long walk up from the gates.

There are better parks and gardens in Marrakech to visit, so don't spend your precious time here. Anyhow, the kids might enjoy plenty of big fish jumping for bread pieces from muddy water.

This is a 12th century garden of old date trees and a large irrigation reservoir. Long wide path from the entrance to the water. Fun for people watching. Lots of families with small kids walking along. We were accompanied by a group of teenagers banging drums and singing. Not a protest but a happy celebration of something. We took a... More

The menara gardens are a 10 minute taxi drive outside marrakech with free entry. We went for a second time in a year the first time the views of the Atlas were spectacular...worth the visit alone. The second time the heat haze obscured everything...so you do need to get lucky. Lots of olive groves...many your not able to walk through....and NO... More

We came here on an organised trip on the "Gardens of Marrakech". Unfortunately it was a chilly and cloudy day so no view. There wasn't a lot of time here after the walk up from the coach drop off. The pavilion looked deserted so assume it wasn't open. There wasn't time for a comfortable walk round the "pool" to the... More

A lovely stroll through a romantic setting. We were lucky enough to have beautiful weather on our visit through the olive groves and got an amazing view of the Atlas mountains in the background of the pavilion. Unfortunately the pavilion was closed off when we visited but it was still worth it for the views and tranquility (if you manage... More

It's free and I was in the area, so I went to see if I could replicate the picture you see on the postcards (the building, with reflection in the pond and atlas mountains in background). The pond wasn't still enough, and the atlas mountains were not visible due to haze. The building is 10 dirhams entry and is quite... More
