Lovely hidden gem with rooftop terrace

Beautifully restored old riad with a calm, quiet, great atrium where you can relax or have a tea at the rooftop, worth the 4$ entrance. The rooms all contain themed exhibits... read more

The place was not easy to find, but honestly, I was not really focused this morning. After a rock start into the day I was full of admiration for this place. I love getting introduced into the daily life of the locals all over the world and the way they dress or dressed fascinates me profoundly. The sight of these... More

We thought we were in the wrong place, after paying 80dhm for two of us. Three small rooms dedicated to perfume which took less than 10 mins to see. We could make our own perfume for 400dhm each, but the builders ladders prevented us from entering the perfume room. We had to check that we had gone to the right... More

Visited this museum in my final few hours in Marrakech. Left me a last imprint of the charms of Marrakech and a lot more about what I could discover about Morroco.

Not worth seeking out, if passing by it might be a nice diversion. Too expensive for what's offered, though. Lovely setting in a riad with nice exhibits, but not many of them.

Like others, we stumbled on this little museum accidentally, having got a bit lost in the streets, en route to another attraction. However, this proved to be an interesting diversion, although it doesn't take long to complete the tour. Sadly, there are few description labels which include an English translation, so it was not always clear what exactly we were... More

I lost my way in the souks and I ended up in this mysterious museum not listed in the lonely planet. Great surprise! The museum itself is peaceful&quiet, they have a small but very educative collection about everyday's life in Marroco. I really recommend this place if you want some relaxing time. Their tea salon is perfect to write down... More

This museum offers a great glimpse into traditional life and arts of Marrakech. The setting is in a refurbished riad. The courtyard has a cafe for tea, coffee and meals, and provides a very pleasant respite from the bustle of the souks. There is also a terrace for eating or tea. Mohamed is very friendly and helpful. Enjoy. You won't... More

The collection in this museum is a summary of Moroccan hand arts. The collection is good but it is too small, you can finish all the museum half an hour. In addition entrance fee (40mrd) is too much for Moroccan standards. However I like the concept of this museum; if you have free time and you are also near to... More

we ended up here like most tourists after wandering through the windy streets near the souks and hustle and bustle of the medina, this is tucked away on a residential street with hardly any signage, we got lost to find it. We spent a pleasant hour cooling down inside cool marble rooms, admiring the art, clothing and costume displays, it... More
