Can't say enough great things about my fabulous moroccan adventure with Hasson! We did a fantastic off the beaten path road trip and drove places and experienced Moroccan life as a local. Hasson is a great guide and i never had to worry about anything! He does know all the tourist places as well but I highly recommend not making those places the only places you experience. He is a licenced guide and with all his experience he will give you a fantastic trip of a liferime! And when you're caught up in the moment he also takes great pictures. Only having a loose plan made the adventure all that much better. As he is very experienced and knows alot of people finding great accommodations along the way was never a problem. So go with Hasson and have the time of your life!! You really won't regret it.

I have done a few holidays and what I love is that I get to see and experience the real country through the knowledge of local guides, and this trip was no exception.

Our guide Mohamed (Momo) has a genuine passion for his heritage, the Moroccan people and his country, and he wanted to share that with our group. He told us what Morocco was like before the new king and how things have changed and are becoming more progressive. He shared his personal experiences and how he was trying to help make changes in his village. He answered all our questions, he taught us Arabic and Amazigh (though in fairness I don’t think we were very good students!) and, through his passion, helped us fall in love with Morocco.

He had an abundance of patience and handled a rather difficult member of our group with diplomacy.

Our driver Hassan was fantastic, the air conditioning wasn’t great on the bus but he did everything he could to try to make use more comfortable. He handled the mountain roads like a pro, I always felt safe while he was driving. He always had a smile even when lugging my heavy suitcase in and out of the bus.

My personal highlights were:

Walking up the sand dunes barefoot to watch the sunset over the Sahara, singing songs by the campfire where we got to share a rousing rendition of head, shoulders, knees and toes 😊 riding a camel back to town after a night in the Amazigh camp.

Hiking Todra Gorge. I have a fear of ledges, I don’t like being close to a sheer drop, I explained this to Momo before we climbed and there were a few bits that I didn’t like but he was on hand to help me and make sure I felt safe. The hike itself was beautiful, the landscape was otherworldly. We were lucky enough to see a nomad encampment on our decent.

Eating dinner with a local family who were so welcoming and showed us how they live.

Whenever Momo taught us something new we jokingly asked him if it would be on the test. A special moment for me was on the trip to Marrakesh when Momo got out a piece of paper and actually gave us a test 😊 It is little personal touches like that that make these trips so memorable

If you want a guide who will show you the magnificent, rich culture of Morocco in its entire glory, stop searching, you have just found the most amazing guide in Morocco!
I spent seven days on tour with Hassan and 14 other likeminded travelers, and it is safe to say that those seven days were some of the best days of my life. I actually remember saying… “How many ‘pinch me’ moments can one have in a week?”
Hassan’s kind, humble, unassuming nature, together with his enormous wealth of knowledge about his country, will take you on a journey that will far exceed any of your expectation or preconceived notions about Morocco.
Hassan’s articulately planned tours encapsulate the diverse complexities of this North African country, with a careful blend of the historic and contemporary, provincial and cosmopolitan. He is certainly there to make your experience the best it can be. He is invested in your experience as if it was his own, and his generosity has no bounds. You have a question, he will answer - you have an issue, he will fix it.
Hassan’s narratives are compelling, unedited, and heartfelt; you never feel he is soullessly regurgitating from a tourist brochure, a common practice for many tour operators. It is in his blood and his love for his country is obvious and contagious.
Not every guide has the aptitude to blend knowledge, professionalism, fun and humour quite like Hassan, and you will share so many laughs along the way. At the beginning of the journey, he is your guide - by the end he is a dear friend. Book now, you’re in for an adventure of a lifetime!
