The metalworkers' Souk is firmly set on the tourist trail to the famous medieval Chouara tannery and provides an ideal rest stop to pause over a snack and coffee at the Seffarine cafe before proceeding through the medina. This cafe also provides a panoramic view...More

Interesting to see copper utensils etc. being hand crafted in the same way and with the same skills that haven't changed over the centuries. The small square wasn't crowded when we were there in April so it was easy to see the craftsmen at work,...More

While roaming in the Old Medina, a nice spot is this square, where several craftsmen work copper to produce pots and other souvenirs. It brings back to old times.

Very lively place with plenty of craftsmen working with copper. At some times of the day, they play some traditional music and work on the metals following the rhythm. Very enjoyable!

Can't describe it but it's such a pretty, charming square with a beautiful tree in the middle of it and metal workers undertaking their crafts, shops lined with beautiful products. It's hard to miss and is a welcome sight after being in crammed pathways through...More

You won’t miss the hammering sound from the artisans working on their copper-ware which looks like nothing has been changed for the past 1000 years.

This square is where the industry is metal work; making pots, pans and brass goods like lamps etc. So you can see the industry at work and hear the rhythmic sounds of the hammers used to shape metal. Worth visiting this and other neighbouring places...More
