Some interesting eateries and street food here. Make sure you look at the gate from both sides. Try Hamid's BBQ nearby.

Stunning entrance to the medina, plenty a good cheap eateries around the gate and taxisjust outside the gate. The medina itself is an experience not to be missed.

It has 2 sides, so you must see both because the paintings are beautiful. The neighbourhood area is also a visit. You can find restaurants that served good Moroccan food and a lot of souvenir shops.

Great place. Very historic and different. Shopkeepers can be very aggressive but just ignore and move on

Amazing place! It's beautiful in blue and green and it's nice to have great, cheap local food around there!

Most interesting compilation of different decoration styles, as described by our guide. Truly the most beautiful Bab in all of Morocco.

Traveling during Ramadan causes a lot of angst amongst the townspeople. We were not overall happy with our experience here.

This was where out tour begun in the medina. We went with a guide that was hired by the tour agency. He just advised me to beware of pickpockets. It is a really nice place, be prepared to bargain if you want to buy something.

Fez is only romantic in books and tourist guides. What I see here is just a bunch of locals trying to get money from you. The restaurants around are below average and the souvenirs being sold here are mostly Chinese copies of Moroccan original crafts....More
