I rate the experience of the old Medina a 5 for people watching, food, picture taking and to see how simple life can be, however I wouldn't go alone as a female and I would only go during the day. Olives, nuts, oranges, crepes and every out treat for 25 cents a piece delicious and wonderful. Majority of vendors and... More

It's a must do if your in Casablanca, but not for shopping. Sure you can buy nick nacks, clothing, jewellery & more, but the medina is best for wandering through its mazes of alley ways & watching people going about their daily routines.

It is like any other Medina in Morocco, crowded and smelly. But the mosque minaret is very nice though.

From Barbary apes ( who like sparkly things & may swipe your earring) to snake charmers & the endless merchants, it's a visual assault! Soak it in, there's too much to see & experience. At least go 50% below asking price!

This medina was very interesting as it was not so claustrofobic as in Fez, and it seemed more like place for maroccons, not for tourists. We at there a very nice Tajine, (you will see small restaurants with 10, 14 tajines outside cooking, and you can choose. Very nice and very cheap!

Ancient Medina will give one a great insight of what is the basic culture and human nature of Moroccan people. Very near to railway station and a number of hotels for varied needs from budget to stars. A bit noisy for those who like quietness when doing their shopping. Shopkeepers will try to lure everyone from locals to tourists. From... More

A must see for travellers, less imposing than the medina in Tangiers and not so many hawkers but the right amount of traditional goods to be bartered for. If you are a gentleman and want a shave/haircut there are lots of very good barbers here with excellent attention to detail - expect 30 - 40mins just for a shave and... More
