many shops but low qualoity

if you want tp shop things, go to fez since it is the cheapest place. most of the things here are from Marrakesh and they bought the bad quality of each, they are highly priced.

I mean ..after Marrakech and fes..this is a pale comparison .nevertheless;when u r in morocco..u need to go to medinas and any number of visits isn't enough for me at least . And if u have decided to stop at casablanca which doesn't have anything but the Hussain 11 mosque ..the Medina becomes a must to visit. . The usual... More

Went here this afternoon on my own (lone female) and was not harassed or coerced in any way to enter stalls or shops. When I did the owners were all very friendly and did not approach with the hard sell. Desperate to go back tomorrow before my flight home as it has some very good things to buy from traditional... This was the first medina I saw in the country, and i was taken aback by the products on sale - most seemed to be clothing and merchandise - all ripoffs. Didn't feel motivated to purchase a single trinket. I later went to the medinas in Fez and Marrakech and found them to be categories better than this. (I might... More

Just walking around and wandering into and by the shops is worth spending half an hour there. Lots of variety for souvenir and gift shoppers.

This is a taste of typical old medina life. Its not so much a tourist attraction with limited tourist shops. Good for a walk around

This is not a place worth visiting. It is quite ugly. I have only been to Rabat's and it is 100 nicer. Don't bother.

The medina is over rated, when compared to the Medina in Marrakech. The shops are too pricey and the shopkeepers are not very friendly. If you are visiting Marrakech, keep you shopping list till you go there. Nothing much otherwise to see.

We visited with a guide who took us round the little alleys to see all the different areas of the medina stopping to see the obligatory carpet seller for mint tea and the whiffy tannery. Wouldn't have missed this experience for anything. The sellers are persistent though and will follow you and follow you. I personally don't like that, but... More
