This is a good area to see some history in Casablanca. Not much to “do” or sightsee, so don’t go out of your way to wander around the historic buildings and snap a few photos.

Busy city square surrounded by a few nice buildings. Visiting Casablanca for more than one day is not necessary, but if you are in Casa for multiple days then the square is ok for a short visit to look at the buildings.

You'll probably be walking by here. Take a picture and keep walking. There are touts there looking to get paid for photos with chained up monkeys or costumed water-sellers. Do not support the monkey abusers. If you're feeling generous, take a picture with the water-seller...More

If you have a full day or a bit more to spend in Casablanca, you will end up walking along this region, so a quick stop to watch the square is fine. A lot of people stay around to chat and watch the movement.

OK to stop if you’re passing it, but I don’t see and reason to go there. There’s quite a big fountain in the middle, which I guess children might like to watch. There were much too many pigeons for my taste. The official builings around...More

In the heart of Casablanca city, there is an open space with water fountain in the centre. The court house is facing the square and there are several other administrative buildings surrounding the square.
