Even if you are not a Muslim it is a great place to visit especially architects. The doors are huge and the hand carved designs look amazing. The mosque is also half on water.

Going here is a must. The attention to detail is beautiful. Located on the ocean. It's beauty will take your breath away.

After 30 minutes tour inside this mosque, I still couldn't find a single reason to build it !! while everyone know that Morocco is not rich country, the last king spent fortunes to build this expensive building ... It could be much useful to spend on Casablanca airport, where passengers are queuing for hours to reach a counter after counter,... More

The biggest mosque in Casablanca with nice Islamic decorations on the walls and soft voiced Imam . Almost always over crowded with worshippers. A great sign of Moroccan ingenuity.

I had the morning to do some site seeing in Casa. The Hassan II Mosque was highly recommended on Travel Adviser. I'm not a Muslim but if I were, I'd love praying in this mosque. It is both architecturally splendid and spiritual ... characteristics that you'd hope to find in any place of worship. It's on the water and has... More

It is one of the very few attractions in Casablanca but it is a good one! Beautiful building with very nice mosaic and shapes. Unfortunately, the two times I went there I couldn't walk to the sea side of it (it was fenced off). Also I don't think tourists can go inside (maybe there are certain hours?). Definitely worth a... We visited this mosque from a cruise ship and the visit is an unforgettable experience. Impressive architecture inside and out and until you get close it is impossible to appreciate the sheer size and scale of the building. With virtually no internal fittings, the walls, columns and ceilings are fantastically ornate and it is essential to be with a guide... More

Completed in 1993, it is the 7th largest mosque in the world. Some people call it floating mosque because it is located on the shore of the Atlantic. It can accommodate 25000 worshippers inside and 80000 people can fit into the courtyard that surrounds it. The minaret is the tallest in the world (689 feet/210 m).

What a beautiful mosque. A guide is well worth the money as the story of construction and meaning is required to appreciate I think. Check times to avoid conflict with services. It is stunning.
