Bahia House and strolling the Casbah. Our ship docked on a Friday, which is now part of their weekend, so most of the shops were closed. But this also made for a nice relaxed stroll to our various destinations, and some better-than-average photo opportunities. Can...More

I found the Kasbah in Algiers rather dirty and not especially well preserved. Of course it's worth seeing, but it's disappointing how poorly maintained it is (compared for example with Tunis Medina).

We spent a lovely afternoon strolling around the kasbah's whitewashed buildings and through its steep winding streets. We really enjoyed learning about the history of the area while admiring the architecture. I would recommend getting a guide as it is quite easy to get lost...More

Guide Ahcicene (who is actually the owner) and driver Muhammed were excellent. Long day tour, via car and on foot, into museums, Botanical Garden, the Casbah on foot, elsewhere. Ahcicene is extremely knowledgeable about all things Algerian. Excellent English.
