Bought my son and a few of his friends out for some paint balling. They had a lot of fun and want to come back again when we are in Anderson. We live in Indianapolis

I had a group of friends here for a private party and we had a blast! The prices were good. The ref's did a great job having us play different games on all the fields. There was no time limit, so we could stay and play as long as we wanted. We stayed for 3 hours. We ended up scheduling another get together because it was so much fun.

I have been to White River several times with my sons (ages 10 and 11), and we have always had a great time. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. The refs have run the games well, are safety conscious, and have always been fair. When there are enough players the refs will splint the groups into experienced and new players which has been really good for my kids. We usually bring our own gear, but I have rented equipment there and found it to be well maintained. The prices are comparable to other fields in the state. You have to buy their paintballs, and there is a large mark up on paint. However, it is in line with what other fields charge. Lots of stations to fill your tanks with high pressure air and fills are free. Nice pro shop. Clean rest rooms. They sell drinks and snack food in the pro shop. However, they don't mind if you bring your own food so my family usually packs a cooler with sodas and sandwiches to save money.

Unacceptable White River Paintball employee behavior.
Just a heads up for anyone in the Indianapolis area considering paintball as and activity for your kids. My thirteen year old son came home saying he had an awesome time at this facility yesterday. He was also complaining about his head hurting from the lump on the back of his head. He told us that there was an odd number of players so one of the staff members played with the other team and used a much better gun than the rest of the players. He said when one of the games was about over he was standing and got shot by the employee in the back of the head from less than 10 feet. I understand that getting hit buy a paintball is painful and getting hit in the head is part of the game, if the shot is accidental or comes from a friend being silly, but for one of their staff members to intentionally target the back of a child's head from that close is unacceptable. Common sense training of employees is highly recommended.

I recently spent an afternoon playing paintball @ White River with 8 friends for a bachelor party. This was my first time playing paintball, and I had a great time. We were having so much fun that we ended up playing for over 5 hours.
White River has plenty of fields to enjoy. They each have their own unique characteristics, which really adds to the experience.
The pricing was fair for what you get. Our group all chose the $59 Sniper Package which gets you a Sniper gun (extended stock), 500 paintballs, mask, ammo belt, and all day air fills.
Staff Members that I encountered were all friendly and helpful. Our referee, Zack, was fantastic! He added so much to our experience. He was engaged with our group the whole time, helped us pick which fields we wanted to play, gave us helpful tips, and made sure that we all had an enjoyable experience. The "groom-to-be" mentioned several times how glad he was that we had Zack on hand for this memorable experience.
The only negative that I can think of were that much of the equipment showed a lot of "wear and tear." The visors on the masks were scratched and some of them were pretty cloudy. Several of the guns also jammed up during play. Of the 8 air compressors, only 3 worked consistently. 2 didn't work at all, and the other 3 were hit or miss. Zack did his best to make sure we had good equipment, but there was only so much he could do.

I have visited the paintball field several times. Mostly I play their big weekend long games. Facility is top notch, nothing is run down. Nice mix of fields. The staff is lights out friendly to everyone. Most important, they have some of the best referees in the sport. These guys have the job of making sure everyone is safe, having fun, they jump in to protect players calling themselves out, outstanding hustle.

This was an excellent pick for the July 4th weekend off. I wanted to do something different, and yes, this hit the spot. We arrived to a really fast check in process and then went at it on the field. Our refs were amazingly helpful and gave us some hints to get an advantage on the field. was my first time playing and will definitely be back to White River Paintball!

A group of 9 (ranging in ages from 17 to 71) participated in a fun afternoon at the White River Paintball facility. The staff was great explaining everything in detail to us which ensured we would have a great time. We played a number of maps and all agreed that this was an excellent adventure.

We were here for the Normandy spring game and were very impressed. The paint shot great, the field played fantastic and the staff was helpful. Excellent job reffing and the buildings made the field have just enough challenge for a good back-and-forth. We will definitely be back soon for the next scenario event!
