So much enjoyed the drive up along the western coast of Maui to the Nakelele Blowhole between marker 38 and 39. Hiked down near the blowhole (did heed the warning of not getting too close since people have been injured here) to watch the blowhole...More

Was disappointed when we came here only to find out there was no blow hole at that time. Because the seas were calm, locals said it would be exploding in a few days. So that was too bad, however the drive there was Breathtaking! That...More

The blowhole was not going at all when I went to see it. The tide was about 3/4 in but the waves were quite little. I located the hole and could hear the sea sloshing around in it. I also found the heartshaped hole in...More

While we were in Maui our kids went to this amazing display of nature. Although it was a bit of a walk. The end result was well worth the effort.

The blow hole wasn't blowing when we arrived as the winds were calm, the tide out and the waves low key. But that didn't matter. The drive to get here is amazing. The red clay and red rock along with the lava stone is amazing....More

One of the nicest blowholes I have ever seen in my life with pretty backdrop, the best ride to the top of the mountain, a really short hike to get to the blowhole itself. While the phenomenon can wear out pretty soon after 5 minutes...More

This was great! When we read the other reviews we nearly didn't do it as it seemed to hard- it really isn't!!! You only have to climb down rocks if you want to get super close to it, you can see the effect of the...More

We came at the wrong time and the blowhole was not active, but the surrounding cliffs offer excellent views and the drive to get here was excellent. I don't recommend going past this location though; the road gets more narrow and ridiculous the further east...More

Yes. You can walk a short distance from your car and see the blowhole. Regardless put your toddler in closed toe shoes so he/she doesn't hurt his/her feet on the lava rock.
