Great beach to relax on and enjoy the sheer beauty of Kauai, just like all of the beaches here are. But this is a TERRIFIC snorkeling beach where you can see MANY beautiful, colorful Hawaiian fish just about everywhere you look! Highly recommended by myself,...More

Due to recent flooding, lifeguards recommended staying out of water due to sewage, pollution runoff being in water. The water was not clear and rather brown as you might expect. Beach littered with flood debris. Might be awhile before its back to normal.

This is a lovely bay and lots of activity around it. Beach is good for surfing. Were tied up in traffic for over an hour leaving the area, as they were repairing the road beyond the one lane bridge.

we really loved the soft sand and fun waves to body surf and boogie board! Cute beach town with shops as well. Never a crowded day, and gorgeous backdrop of the mountains and waterfalls!

Great swimming beach. Fairly shallow water and clear. Saw sea turtles and lots of colorful fish. Bring your snorkel gear and enjoy this beautiful beach.

The natural beauty from the sandy colored sand and black lava rock against sparkling waters and normally blue skies gives you a natural high.

What could be better than mountains, lush greenery and ocean? This bay was breath taking! Very nice lifeguards that come up and talk to you and tell you where it is safe to swim. A lot of areas with powerful waves that should be avoided...More

Was a great place but unfortunately reef area is dieing and lacking fish life like it was 2 years ago when we visited. Thankfully Hawaii is banning harmful sunscreen lotions..... hope this helps but i fear it may be too late. Very rocky and slippery...More

This is the most beautiful place I have ever seen been to. To sit in the bay on a board and look back at the towering mountains with several 1000ft + water falls streaming down from them, I cannot imagine any place more beautiful. The...More

There are many beaches around the bay from Princeville to Lumahai all are beautiful. The area has been used for films including South Pacific in which the beach below Princeville was where a lot of filming took place and the other side of the bay...More

No signage to help you find this beach/bay. Nice beach. Terrible parking - very rutted parking lot. The northeast portion of the beach, the locals make it very difficult to visit. They have erected barriers - not sure if the barriers are legally placed, but...More

this beach is really nice. Good, enjoyable beach shoreline, really huge amount of space and usually good weather make this beach surely one among the nicest on this island. also, almost no stones in the water, big plus!

Not good for tourists to rent Airbnb or Brno in Hanalei or anywhere north. Or able to drive north of Hanalei too. Biz r open for tourists there. But some places flooded and molded out like dolphin I’d not eat at.

Not much of a beach to surf at, very shallow waves that crash on the beach in some places. The best part of the absolutely stunning scenery from the end of the Jetty. You can jump off the jetty into the beautiful clear water... More
