This is a great beach for soaking up the sun or snorkelling. You can see a large variety of fish and other creatures, A couple years ago we saw a Galapagos Shark up close, which was exhilarating!

We planned to get there early, like 830 am early and we barely got a spot in the second beach access site. I think the best bet is to either go very early or later like 1-2 pm. It was exceptionally windy unfortunately and we...More

An amazing beach. Luckily we had access through a private property that we rented right on the point. It was easy access for us and guests. The bay is very protected and snorkeling is good there. Once headed around he point towards the east, the...More

March is a good time of the year to focus on the South shore, Poi pu, Salt Ponds,... Unless you are a world class surfer, 20 foot swells should be avoided. Also due to rain and flash floods several of the communities were cut off...More

The parking was a little tough, but we lucked out. Ideally I think we should have arrived early morning- 8:30-9 to enjoy the caves before it got crowded and get a prime parking spot closer to the beach. We liked exploring the caves before it...More

Took a ride to Tunnels Beach on a rainy day. Nice drive – beautiful views of beaches on this side of the island. There was a cave across the street from the beach was very cool to walk through.

Tunnels Beach is just as beautiful as all the other Kauai beaches on the surface. The best part is the water and all the fish you can see. This spot is incredible for snorkeling! You honestly don't even need a snorkel. Grab your goggles and...More

Becareful where you park and what direction you face as there is not a lot of parking. We drove 5 mins up and found some there. The beach is very pretty and not too crowded. There is a very strong current there so be careful.

Our mission was to get to literally the of the road and we did it! On our meandering way back, we stopped at Tunnels beach. Very pretty beach, but aren't they all in Hawai'i?! Really. The tunnels were huge. So awe-inspiring to walk into. We...More
