We drove up close to sunset in hopes of capturing a grand view. There were too many clouds, so no sunset to be seen, but the view was still great! Not a place to go swimming though. Lots of warning signs and waves were pretty big!

This used to be a true hidden gem, but like many things technology has made it too accessible. On arriving early in the morning (and already incredibly crowded) a car pulled up and noisily asked "Is this the Tunnels??" We managed to find a little spot to set up that wasn't too near others and went for our first snorkel.... More

This is one of my favorite beaches in the islands. Beautiful clear water, great for snorkeling, swimming, and strolling. Lots of fish to see and you don't have to go far out. Parking is a challenge if you try and park in the two small lots. We always go down the road a little further to the next beach where... More

This is one of the most beautiful and secluded beaches. Great for sunning, strolling, snorkeling, scuba diving, and just savoring the amazing beauty. Parking is tricky but possible. Look for Ha'ena beach where you can park and walk down to Tunnels.

This beach was not our favorite, it is nice to go to but we didn't stay long. For as long as it took to get there it wasn't worth it. Big waves though and lots of sand that is deep.

Impossible to find, but you MUST come here. The beaches along the North Shore of Kauai are outrageous (better than the South and East), and Tunnels beach is one of two you MUST see (Ke'e is the other one IMO). We went to watch an unbelievable sunset one evening, and then returned to snorkel the next day. Fine snorkeling for... More

As you travel to then end of the road, this beach is a must. Great for snorkeling and enjoying the water. Scenery, like Kauai, is awesome. Surf got rougher in the afternoon so if you are in it for snorkeling, go earlier in the day.

Tunnels beach has limited parking so you have to park down the road and walk from the next beach over but it is worth the walk. The snorkeling is amazing and you can get lost with your face in the water as there is alot to see. There is also shaded areas on the beach to get out of the... More

After a long ride down the windy roads on the north shore of Kauai, you'll find this gem. We got there late in the day and there were very few people on the beach. I was told the waves were small this time of year, which made me a little less excited to go because I'm one to play in... More

This is a great stop on the way to or back from Kee Beach. Keep in mind there is a falling rock and timber risk near the cliff. Park smartly and keep an eye out. a wonderful, but not a resort beach. It is a "Gotta Go" kinda place. IHG, Rube
