Located on a stream in Wailua River State Park, not far out of Kapa'a. It's a 150 foot water fall. The place where you park on the side of the road has the falls on one side and a great view of the Wailua River on the other side. And of course, as with everywhere on Kauai, you'll see lots... More

This place is actually two views in one spot. The falls and on the other side of the road the Wailua River. Both are worth stopping for especially after a good rainfall.

The falls are really beautiful and surrounded by greenery. You can't get too close but its quite nice seeing it from afar in its natural setting. There is a carpark and restrooms at the lookout, and you pass a heiau nearby on the drive there, which is nice to see.

It's really cool to watch the thousands of gallons of waterfalls to our over as a distinct flow of multiple waterfalls

These falls are tucked away in a valley just outside of Wailua. Across the road from viewing the falls is the beautiful Wailua River Valley. It would have been nice to have more time to hike through this area and maybe do some canoeing along the river.

The falls are fairly high but the actual amount of volume is small. The valley views on both sides of the road are very nice. Worth a quick look compared to other sites in the area.

With all the other beauty on the island the waterfalls are just average. Good for a five minute jaunt up road from main highway. Good parking and easy for picture taking.

Beautiful waterfalls just minutes from Kapa'a. It's probably the most easily accessed on the island, with a viewpoint on Highway 580, also known as Kuamo'o Road. Opaeka'a means "rolling shrimp," which were once abundant here. The 151-foot falls flow year-round.

This falls is taller than you realize, but you are far away at the roadside viewing spot. It is pretty and worth seeing, but the thrill factor can be over rated. The whole island is worth seeing.

The falls are beautiful. You can't get up close and personal but, they are a sight to see even from a far. Worth the drive.
