If you enjoy golf that has a destination feel then you may enjoy a couple of days at the Francis Brown. There are two courses to choose from. The course is not crowded.

I played the south course which is very scenic with the views of the ocean. This is a tough course where the hazards include lava rocks, sand and water. Some narrow fairways and sloping greens. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

I had the pleasure of playing two rounds of golf (North and South) and in both cases, the course was in magnificent shape and challenging while still maintain a resort course that could be played by amateurs. The highlight of the rounds was that we...More

The views on the South course are outstanding with three ocean front holes. On one you actually shoot over an inlet. Pretty intimidating but not actually difficult. This course seems to be better maintained than the North course with is appreciably dryer. This is not...More

Great course, had just as many beautiful holes as Mauna Kea and in far better condition. Not to mention better golf holes, Mauna Kea is overrated and beyond 2 holes was a bummer. I'm a long hitter, this course lets me hit my driver where...More

Perhaps many will recognize these 2 courses by their old name, the Mauna Lani North Course and South Course, which is what they used to be called. We played the North course at 1:09 mid week. Their "sunset rates" start at 11:45 for $145 versus...More

I have played on both the North and South Courses. Both are equally beautiful and well taken care of. The south offers more ocean holes but the north tends to be more difficult. This is a definite place to play. The only disappointing part was...More

Beautiful scenery especially the ocean views are what I love most. I did not like the lava rocks, but there's nothing you can do about it as it is a part of the landscape. These rocks had been in this place before the golf course,...More
