Another famous insight into history where these magnificent trees, planted over time by famous/infamous people are like stepping into a prehistoric movie. Strangely though, the weirdest thing on Banyan Drive were the cats that disappear down the drain and pop out the other side as...More

The Banyan trees are impressive, and the "attached" park is very nice. Japanese themed, lots of water and bridges. Takes a half hour to see most everything.

Amazing Banyan trees line this ocean side loop. It takes just a few minutes driving, so it’s worth getting at out the nearby park to wander and explore. The park is representative of Hilo with a relaxed, laid back feel to it. Banyon trees are,...More

We stayed at castle hilo Hawaiian. Took a late afternoon walk. All the trees in this area are amazing. There's a park area in front of the hotel and we enjoyed watching the people. We walked thru then came back to enjoy the balcony.
