This is one of those places that I always makes me feel better. I've been going here since I was a little girl. Its paintings still have a mesmerizing impact.

We try to go to museums whenever we travel and this is now near the top of our list...not because it has masterpieces, but because the way that it was laid out, made it perfect viewing of all of artwork...Southern artists, civil war depictions, modern...More

We thoroughly enjoyed this museum. We just happened on it when visiting the Riverwalk. Lovely paintings that told many stories in the history of the south and our country (USA). It was really worth the visit and a good way to spend a couple hours...More

Like another reviewer, we were here during Hurricane Matthew. We were surprised to find some extraordinary pieces in a collection that is not overwhelming in size. It's definitely worth a visit if you are in Augusta.

We were in Augusta avoiding hurricane Matthew, and went to walk on the Riverwalk and stumbled into the museum, it was enjoyable.

I had to drag my husband there. I am an artist, so I would stop at every museum along the way, but this one was special because of the building itself. It really is beautiful.

This is a small but very interesting museum. The art displayed starts from the colonial eras all the way to the modern era. It was quiet and enjoyable and includes a gift shop with related products.

Regina is correct. I went to the Museum on a Sunday, and so it was free. I don't know what the regular rate is.
