The river walk has a high brick walk and a walk right on the river. We walked the high path. It's a beautiful brick path with buildings on one side, lots of interesting things to read built right into the path, a roman sundial, history of the river, Augusta, the trains, etc, plaques all along the way, amphitheater, lovely benches... It is a nice place to stroll along the Savannah River with your loved-ones during the day. I am sorry to say there are not enough lights to stroll here at night. Bring a camera, wear comfortable shoes, and enough water to enjoy the scenery. There are plans to spruce up the area by the county, hopefully that will happen... More

The Augusta Riverwalk is supposed to be an outdoor historical display where all the flags of the nations which have flown over the city are flown. Unfortunately, political correctness and cultural cleansing has caused the removal of the Second National Confederate flag and the Augusta-Richmond County flag is now being flown in its place. This is quite interesting in that... More

A wonderful place to walk or bike along the canal path between the Savannah river and the Augusta canal. Level unpaved path with plenty of room for strollers. Distances are marked and there are multiple access points.

This area is under used and under maintained. It is such a beautiful area but could use a completely overhaul.

Was in town for a techinical training and company offered a bike ride along the river. Sensacional, awesome view, lots of trees, there are a few toilets along the track and the track is very easy. If you are around, rent a bike and go for it, totally recommended!!

We strolled the Riverwalk one Sunday am and enjoyed the nice views. Informative plaques were spaced along the way.

Try to walk off your lunch at the Cafe 209 along the river. Hope to see a Norfolf diesel engine cross the old iron bridge while you do.

The riverwalk was great for walking. It also has a playground for the kids. Very peaceful to get away from work and just enjoy the outdoors.
