We had to evacuate our home in South Carolina due to hurricane Florence. We ended up in Augusta GA. Since we had never been there we decided to take the time and look around. We checked out the River walk and were very surprised at...More

Nice views, lots of places to sit along the walk. There is a center where performances take place - the day we were there someone was there practicing their lines for a play.

This is a great place for a morning or evening stroll. Quite, scenic and gives history of Augusta. We even saw the train come through town and over the bridge at the Riverwalk

A nice peaceful walk along the river. Or, a candlelight jazz concert every Sunday during the summer months. Close to downtown and many nice places to grab a bite and or an adult beverage. My son and I went to one of the National speedboat...More

Ever been to the Riverwalk along the canal in San Antonio? I've been there a lot. A little over 50 years ago it was essentially a sewer, backed up with trash, and when you combine its size with the size of our riverfront and many...More

Had a great walk along the shaded path on Saturday morning and found a great surprise; a farmer's market.

On the town side of the levee (the upper part of the Riverwalk) are several restaurants... we were there one night and ate at Boll Weevil (Southern fare)… it was pretty good, and no reservation required...

I don't think it is. I have never seen skateboards, bikes or rollerblades out there anytime I have been there. I know they have a skate park at Blanchard woods in evans Georgia
