When you first walk up to the river you see the view of the large homes across the river and it is very pretty. Quiet and peaceful on a Monday afternoon visit.

We took a stroll along the Savannah river while we were visiting Augusta. It was an interesting to read the plaques along the way to read the history of Augusta. I did not know “cotton was king” in Augusta.

Only Wilmington NC has a better riverwalk. This is without a doubt the best-constructed river walk I have ever visited if only they had more restaurants it would contend with Wilmington.
