The building and grounds are closed to the public. I'm not sure if that's usual, or if it's just during the Covid pandemic, but the grounds are behind closed gates and security officers stand inside the modern patio to the right.
The original building is all I could capture in photos through the gate, with its decaying checkerboard sidewalk, and flagpole. A bronze mural is somewhat visible on the wall of the yellow building in the background.
To the right is the modern government facility with an enclosed metal staircase leading into it. The patio space below featured some Greek statues and looked rather odd underneath the modern metal municipal building above it. It is surrounded by a solid wall facing the street, so I could only glimpse at it though the gate in front of the original building.

It's a political place. It's important because of that but it's not necesary to go to visit unless you have a job to do in there.

Interesting side stop one block down from central park. Often colour protesters are out front. Off to the side is a wonderful museum that is well worth a visit. Down one more block and you can tour the old presidential. A full morning's adventure.
