Visited Maya Key as part of a diving day picnic through Anthony's Key Resort. The key is pretty and the buildings are very well kept and clean, including lockers for cruise ship customers. The little "zoo" is mediocre and I'm not sure I believe their claim about all the animals being unfit to live the wild. They say they are... More

Easy short boat ride from the cruise port. Lots of beach chairs, some in the shade. I think the snorkelers had a great time off the end of the pier. However, those of us who just wanted to hang at the beach and spend time in the water were disappointed in the that part of the island. Shallow, small swimming... More

We booked this from NCL and we're not disappointed. We went with my a group which included 4 children ages 8, 11, 12,&12. This was the first time to go snorkeling for 3 of the 4 including my 11 year old daughter. She and her cousins could not get enough of the snorkeling. We brought our own snorkeling gear but... More

We enjoyed the freedom from throngs of people on the cruise ship. The ride was short from the Cruise dock, but far enough you felt you had escaped to your own paradise. The young man at the snorkeling dock was fantastic. My wife was very nervous about snorkeling because of asthma trouble with the snorkel tube breathing in the past.... More

Absolutely loved this excursion! I paid extra to swim with the nurse sharks, and it was AWESOME!! Probably the coolest thing I've ever done!

My wife and I visited on a cruise excursion the boat ride is about 20 minutes each way which was a little chilly on are trip but still a relaxing ride. The Maya Key island has a very spacious beach area for relaxing, the snorkeling is great for beginners as you can stand about anywhere when you get a mouthful... More

We went on a cruise with NCL that stopped in Roatan. We wanted something away from the throngs of people going to the main beach, so chose this excursion. I'm so glad we did. First, as soon as we got off our ship, we were greeted and shown to the tender boat that would take us to the private island.... More

We were staying at Anthonys Key Resort and we got a chance to go to Maya Key for the afternoon. It was great snorkeling and buffet lunch. We walked the island and saw all the animals and Maya ruins. This island is very well taken care off. Great to see.
